What happens if someone weighs the first 300 lb watermelon, then the next week someone weights a 301 lb watermelon. Does the first person get the prize? Or will the final GPC results determine the winner?

No! The rule states The largest fruit over 300 lbs for the season at a GPC site only

Mark, is there a Great White purchase deadline or will I be able to wait until the day before my weigh-off to receive their product ? I know that is not correct but I do not know if any of you club officers have told us what the deadline will be. I would suggest about a month after 2012 membership closes to give any new growers a proper chance.

We have changed the cut off date on Great White purchase to June 1st, the same as GWG membership. But don't wait that long !

I am sorry I asked the question. lol Now it has changed anyway.It is certainly a good thing to have them at least coincide because now late joiners to the club will still have a chance to get in on the world record competition. Excellent move club officers and Great White. You guys are already ironing out the wrinkles.Please keep up the good work. :o)
