Ok,I know there is one main vine comes from the stump. How many other main vines do u all let grow from the stump. I,m going with three this year. How about u all?,,,,greg

They call them finger vines not secondarys,After the m.v. broke the finger vine was bigger then then the m.v. at seasons end.

Most of my best melons were grown on secondaries. Just can't seem to get a good start on the primary. It isn't from lack of trying.
