Nathan, I just want to say a public thanks to you for all that you have done for me and other growers and for our hobby and sport of growing giant watermelons. I know you expected better results than we had with grafted plants this year. Anyway I got a good personal best out of it that I may not have had without your help. But I think you have put us a year closer to the regular use of grafted plants to help grow bigger melons. I think the use of grafted plants would have been set in motion anyway with the growing of the 2 new world records by Gabriele Bartoli. But thanks to you, the interest was here for this growing season instead of next. I think with the experimentation with various root-stocks, we will soon see dramatic increases in average weights. You should be very proud of what you did for us and our hobby.

Nathan's a great guy. I know he spent a lot of his personal time helping people. The video's he made will guide anyone who watches them to a successful graft. It's not rocket science but you do have to be willing to invest the time in learning the technique. Thank you Nathan for everything you did this year for the melon growing community ! Great job with the long gourd at Elkin too!
