Ok I learned something this year.I grew 2 melons same plant.the torpedo shape went 6 pds lite.& fatty the bent pickle went 10 lbs heavy. So Same plant same drip for drip water they were only 4 feet apart on seperate figer vines.I also learned that growing 1 on a plant will get 20 lbs bigger then growing 2 under the same exact conditions & all.On the GPC standings the OTTS are on the wrong fruit, sorry I should of marked them A & B my fault.

I also grew two melons on a 35 KENT, which produced two melons in the 140 range. I won't make that mistake again.

If you do the math, assuming you have the same OTT, a cube will be heavier than a rectanglar shape. Rectangular shape will be heavier than a cylinder shape.

Assuming the density of each melon is the same.

Grew 2 on my 207 Cantrell. 250.5 & 98. I'll always wonder what if????????

The cir and ee measurments make up the most off your ott. Long melons tend to magnify these two measurements. I have found 6 pounds under the chart on a long melon is fairly solid. I have always wondered if a plant produces a 200 pound melon, would it have produced 200 pounds of fruit regardless of size or shape? Light or heavy? Long or short?
