I think it may be very interesting to many of you fellow growers to read Nathan Okorn's growers diary entries for this year:

Nathan is grafting again this year and may yet be able to give us the ultimate disease free Carolina Cross rootstock, for a lucky few of us to get to grow.If this goes really well Chris may have to break his own world record in order to remain the record holder.So I think it could be a very interesting year. I mean it was going to be interesting already but another big success on Nathan's part could make it very memorable. I sure hope Nathan is able to produce the disease free plants he is striving for. We will know results soon if Nathan continues to keep us all informed through his growers diary. Thanks Nathan.

The North Coast

Thanks TD. I will try to get things out there as the powers that be allow. There are filters in place anymore and I promise to try to abide by the submission guidelines...geez!

My ultimate goal is to either prove myself right or wrong. I didn't really understand how my life would change with just a simple offer a few years back. What a can of worms and most interesting challenge I got myself into. Anymore it has gotten rather addictive, pretty much 12 months a year. I am either on a couple really crazy, good for nothing ideas or possibly something thats good for us all.

I am a big believer of collaborative effort also. A single ant can't get anything done, but a bunch of them can come together to accomplish a common goal. I will do my best to share what I know and I do appreciate those that give also. I have already changed many of my techniques and have received many good ideas from those in the community that are willing to share their knowledge.

Hoping for a very good year for us all. Grow 'em big.
