I posted the photo in my grower diary.
I know the pear shaped melons are not desirable, nor will it probably grow out and should be culled.
Its 5 DAP and measuring 39 OTT.
Averaging out its measurements it's on track for mid - upper 70s OTT by day 10
Trying to set other females but not having much luck.
While not pretty, would it be acceptable for a weigh off?

Lol Spence.
The day I pollinated it, it unexpectedly got up to about 95.
Since then It's been low to mid 90s and humid enough to make Jesus cuss.
The females are either too small, won't set,or are non existent.
It's my first year, so I guess I'm just anxious.
Seems to be growing well, just not pretty.
By the way Spence,I like the set up in your patch with walk boards above the plants.

I pollinated two on my 251 Kent this morning.
The pear shaped one I did times self last week.
6 days now.53 OTT.
This morning I used a 209 Schinicker as the pollinator on one and a 193 Bright on the other.
Had trouble setting fruit on both of those plants, but man I would like to set one on that Bright.
2 inch females every time it produces the flower.
