Home of happy lil plants

are quieter in august-september than the 87 un catchable field mice in my melon patch.

Im not even playing closest ive come so far was it set off 7 spring traps in one night...the best one yet is the live trap thats plenty small enough to catch the little mouse.. little guy eats all my nutter butter cookies and still escapes.

the fact that he lives under the watermelon shelf is irrelevant.. goal now is make him soooo fat it doesnt chew anything and cant fit under melon shelf( (hes close now had to do the fat wiggle to fit thru hole in shelf) any more weight and the cats can catch it

You want a lie or the truth?
Lol.
I'm honestly happy to still be in the game at this point.
But, I think I have a nice one going.
Especially for my first year.

Ok Spence, here is the trick for using spring traps to catch mice. Take your bait and wrap it in panty hose. Cut a piece of panty hose, place your nutter butter cookies inside the panty hose piece, tie the panty hose containing your nutter butter to the place where you put the bait. The mouse will get its jagged teeth caught in the panty hose and you will have your mouse caught. Good luck.
Works great for me, I just use peanut butter in the panty hose, I eat my cookies.

If you have the older style traps with the curved metal at the bait pad, jam a raisin in there. Add peanut butter. Works for me. They get greedy. Good luck. Jim

You can also tie a piece of yarn on it with peanut butter
same concept and the panty hose
