So many that I would like to grow but space is limited. Still a long ways off and mind will change several times I'm sure lol. My 290 will be our family challenge seed that Jason, Jordan, dad, and myself will grow. I'm partial to the 251 Kent it being the mother seed of 290. Also like how the 302 did this year and who wouldn't wanna grow a 318. I saw Franks 305 and it was very impressive. Wouldn't have any problem planting it. Just so many options, watermelon world record will be broke soon I believe.

I know I will plant 2 of the 316 Edwards had a 5 lobe on one this year. Not sure what the 3rd one will be yet, but thinking maybe my 199.5 that was a 5 lobe and a good cross. 316 Edwards(5 lobe) x 296.5 Barber(5 lobe) that's why I made that cross. Just had a cold spring so a young melon.

9 plants this year. I'm grafting, already got a couple under the grow light that took quite well. I've got 306 Bartoli, 316 Edwards, and the 213 and 235 Warren that I will be planting. If I was retired I'd plant more but just don't have the time for more than 9 and that will probably be a stretch.

maybe its sunshine's new seed starting method. The ones that survive the winter must be the strongest ones to plant !

282 dawson and 291 kent the third im undecided

I'm undecided as of now. I've got some 113 Kent seeds and 165 Cantrell that I might give a try. I will probably grow the 255 Mitchell again with the way it started out last year(charted 180 lbs @ 40 DAP). I think I've got this grafting stuff figured out so I'll probably grow a few 251s and 318s as far as grafts. I'm also going to grow some of Lindleys lopes and probably a JBD or two. And to think I was going to scale things back some this year!LOL.
Oh yeah, if Spence EVER cuts that melon of his then I will grow one of his seeds if I can get some seeds from him.

Charles I have some old Cantrell seeds that I'm gonna grow, either a 144.5 or 165. Gotta grow one old school seed.

Yeah Jeremy I have heard that both of those Brother Dave seeds are good ones. I also wouldn't mind growing a 290 Terry if you have a few seeds to spare! Just too many great seeds!

Actually planning on giving the melons another serious attempt but it will be the old school method with oldish school seeds. 252 Neptune 10, 199.5 Mudd 10, 197 Leonard 07, 165 Cantrell(B) 10, 157 Bright 04 and one yet to be determined.

Dave I grew 2 157 Brights last year... selfed one and sibbed the other, just to keep clean 157 genetics in one

I did a 157 self in 2013 for the same reason. That year I grew in a wet area and it was a struggle but it was still my second largest.

I received a gift dated 1-13-2013 and it's time to stop looking at it and take them out of the pack to see if I can get one to grow. I'm going to fill my last spot with a 228 Carson 1990. Thanks again LB.

Back-up to the limited seeds will be 144.5 Cantrell 11.
