Hi, Just interested to know if there is a book out there on growing giant watermelons.
Kind of like the books that are out there for the giant pumpkins and Tomatoes.
I have been searching around for a while with no luck as of yet.
Is there a book out there? or not as yet.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
Peter.

Thanks for the link, appreciated.
Has anyone read or seen this book before?
Is it the same as the pumpkin and Tomato books as in showing general growing, pruning techniques, planting and the like.
Is there any others out there also?
Greatly appreciate any information.
Cheers.

I have the book, it gives cultural advice as well as a history of giant watermelon growing. It has lots of really neat pictures, from way back in the 20's and 30's.

I read the book when first growing melons. It was a good history book. I remember it didn't answer all my questions so I called several of the top growers and they answered all my questions. I guess I could of asked on this forum. So if you have more questions don't be afraid to ask there are many good growers on this site.
