i was wondering i have a pear shaped melon on my main vine at 18ft and just recently found a small vine comeing out from stump thats 6ft long has a melon that i crossed did not think it took but suprise i found its growing lol ,my question is how much energy from the plant will my melon on small vine get out of plant///???? there both 291x318 the melon on 6 ft vine is really chugging alng ?? will they both get same amount of energy or is main vine better??? thanks pizza

If it's off the stump it's a finger vine not really a side vine... I grew my biggest on a finger vine... if it has good shape I'd keep it and cull the main vine one
