Is the 321.5 Mudd the second largest melon ever grown ? I can't remember any larger ones except for the Kent world record. Anyway, I think Frank has consistently shown he is one of the very best growers in the world and a person who sets the bar high in being very helpful to other growers and conducting himself in a gentlemanly manner.

Yes, in 2012 Bartoli grew a 326. I had forgot that one. My "old timers disease" kicking in I guess. Third largest ever grown is not bad though. It is something to be very proud of really. Just makes a man want to go after the record that much more I think.

I totally agree Dennis that Frank has had an amazing year and continues to raise the bar higher every year.

To all, and utmost respect to all! The season isn't over, and don't count Frank & Clyde out just yet!! I have heard that Clyde loves road trips!! Peace, Wayne
P.S. Any weigh-off within a 500 mile radius of Clyde's house could be in serious danger!!!

Well Harry got here. But you just cannot trust those camel salesmen. Harry kind of looks like a donkey. Well I have to take what I got, but it's kind of a kick in the A O I better not say that on here. Got lots of feed so the new Harry is staying.

TD Yes I am having a great year. I have a tall that will be the new U S record at a little over 24', A wild lettuce plant that may be a new world record at about 15' or so. Best of all I have a melon going that may be a new PB of over 255.

So yes it has been a great year and a bunch of fun.

Nice Marvin! Glad to hear it. I have been very busy getting ready to move with my wife to her home in The Philippines. So I haven't had time to grow anything this year We will be leaving Tennessee on October 6. I know I am going to really miss America and gardening.

I have been to the Phillipines. Spent time both at Cebu City and General Santos. i am still kicking around in my mind of moving there in my retirement. I really like the islands. I took a tour of the Dole pinneaple plantation. I think you could set the world record for watermelon growing in that climate. Good luck in your relocation.
