Kentucky Watermelon weight off money paid is pretty slim but it is not about the money it is the bragging rights. If you can walk away with the Blue Ribbon that is major bragging rights. I would love to add a Blue Ribbon to my stack of Red ribbons.

What size can you even grow to for such an early weigh off?

Hey Nick, Looking forward to visiting with all the Watermelon growers. If you and Frank show up with a big one I may have to settle for the Pink Ribbon or no ribbon this year. I may have to strap a couple of sand bags under mine.

They say there's an awful lot of sand blown in since the spring. I'll have to dig around and see if I have anything worth bringing. Been a tough year in hawesville
