Is Anthracnose passed to the seeds?

I remember years ago we thought Mosaic virus was passed
thru seeds. Not sure about the final outcome.

My LG plants have Anthracnose, should I use the seeds?

Thanks for any advice:

Anthracnose - causal pathogen is Colletotrichum lagenarium derived from spores to infect the host during warm moist weather. The spores (conidia) are borne on fruiting bodies. Thy may be spread by water.

Looking around I found this which may give rise to concern:

EPIDEMIOLOGY

The conidia (spores) are released and spread only when the acervuli are wet and are generally spread by splashing water and blowing rain or by coming into contact with insects, other animals (including humans), and tools. The fungus can overwinter as mycelium on or in seed and on residue from diseased plants in and on the soil. The fungus can also live in weeds of the cucurbit family.

Stephen (Tremor):

In thinking about what I may have done wrong, dirty
tools is in the mix. According to the GA AG guys the main problem is overwintering in the dead plant material.

The AG guys said to remove all plant material and burn it.
Wash my trellis throughly with a mixture of 10% bleach and water during the fall and clean all garden tools with same mixture.

Your analysis seems to be in line with the GA AG guys.

I appreciate your input:
