Sam mine did the same thing. I have one over 86 inches and now the plant is producing females again. It may be a blessing and the one may get very long.

I have noticed that the females come in groups, with some time in between. Since they do most of thier growth in about 3 weeks, don't worry. You have plenty of time to grow a big one.

Seems to be a year of elusive females...LOL! Got some 80"+ LG's on some plants and females now just showing up on others? All different seeds all planted at the same time...go figure? Best of luck! PS Sam...got a late bloomer on your 106 continuing at 4-5"/day...been a few days now...looking good...:-)

Mine had two females that aborted and now they are all rotting before they reach an inch long. Not one single female on two plants.

I started growing LGs in 2003 and this is the first year that I have had pollination problems. In the past I learned to expect about 95% success rate.
This year is much different and I am doing everything exactly the same.Even have a few plants with 10 attempts and 10 failures and no chances left, will pull the plants down.
Any suggestions why would be welcomed.(I do have a few plants with 4-5 LGs set though, but the growth rate is well below other years.
The degree days are about the same as past years but a lot more rainfall this year.

A second thought. It was brought to my attention by a neighbour that our hours of sunshine are way down this year.I am starting to believe that is the reason for the slow growth of my LGs.

Same here Al. Less rain but very little sunshine. Yesterday I noticed a few new females on my second plant, so maybe there's a bit of hope.

Brad-I will try my last pollination tonight.Don't know about Europe but here my pollination window has been about July 20-Aug 10.
Most of my best last year were pollinated around July 27.

Same time frame here but sometimes September has better weather than August.
