Think my local ACE Hardware store carries them?...LOL! Interesting idea, can you describe them to a city slicker? or post a link? Thanks, Duff

Cattle panels are very heavy gague welded wire fence sections that are 16' long. I use them for my long gourds. I set 4 steel posts at the width of the panels and about 4' apart. I bend the panels into a U shape between the posts and attach them with wire. I set the bottom of the panels about 3' off the ground, so the top of the U is at least 10' high. Seems to work OK for me. You can buy them at farm supply stores, Menards or just about any lumber yard in farm country.

I am going to re-build ours this spring using hemlock posts and concrete reenforcement mesh. The trellis will be at leadt 150" high (wishful thinking eh). Each plant will have its own trellis and the top will be 10-12 feet across.

How much weight should I plan on? I only plan to planting 2 LG's.
I have 4 chain-link top rail pipes that are 21' long. I plan to cut these off at 13" and stick 1' in the ground. Leaving me with four 8' section. I intend to use these for the top frame. So it will be 12' tall and 8' sq on top.
Will this work?
