This could be fun. The top is 12 ft. and I can add extensions.I had an extra 107 of mine and could not find a place for it so i thought why not try.

Marty, I have been closely watching your diary since last season. I have a tunnel like yours and was wondering how do you keep that thing cool in the summer months? I have seen temps in mine during the summer reach 135f with 50% shade cloth on. I'd love to try a long gourd in mine thinking the same, that the frame would make a great trellis. Rather than building extra support you may be able to use string then attaching the vine to the string as it grows using trellis clips.
Best of Luck!!

I will get pictures up this weekend again of everything. The hoop has no shade cloth at all. I do have 30 percent cloth but think it would slow the growth down. The roll up side really help but if there is no wind it get very hot inside. I do have 3 fans going from 9am till 7pm. We have had a couple days of 87 degrees and was 110 inside. One pumpkin plant took some burn but the other plant is fine. The long gourd will climb a 15 foot cattle panel that is slightly curved. I wanted to put it more to the side but the soil is not very good there and low. I amended the soil there about a 4 ft area. It was in a pot for 3 weeks and is root bound some but I did lay it down about 8 inches to get some roots off the stock I hope. I am sure it will get hot up there and may put shade cloth just above it.
