I have multiple 10day old fruit set low on the trellis at 8ft in the last 2-3 Days i have been getting females opening at the top of my 12.5ft trellis and i have been pollinating them. Should i cut off all or some of the 8ft set fruit or will they not have that much of a impact on the developing 12.5 ft new sets? i'm worried that the bigger fruit below at 8ft will sap away the juice to the "sweet spot" one's now at the top of trellis and they won't set or develop well? Please give me as much feedback as you can with a solution to this? thanks

I've been snipping off all females below the 10' mark so far and just hoping more will show up? One never knows from plant to plant and season to season? Any low sets present management problems if they get going. LG's support at least a few gords of good size...would you have a longer gord if you had only one...jury's out on that one! LOL! I'd leave the best 8' prospect on the vine until you were sure you had a good one going higher up. And maybe just leave the 8' set as an insurance policy...and get out the post hole digger if she decides to take off...good luck!
