It's been really fun. I had no idea what I was doing. It's a awesome looking plant and then out of the clear blue sky this long and skinny gourd appeard. It's grown and grown and now it is 85 inches long! Good luck to me! It's the last day of summer and it was 92 degrees today. I'm hoping it's grown another 3 inches!

Good for you Bassman. I'm a LG newbie myself and I'm hooked. Like you my longest is 84 or so, I only grew two plants and pollinated four gourds so I won't complain. Can't wait until next year.

My friends, family, and neigbors have gotten such a kick out of my gourd plant.. I'm thinking next year I'll grow about six of them!
Thanks for the replies and the good luck to all long gourd growers!

Welcome bigbassman, LG growing should come with a warning that it can become addictive, LOL.
