Subject: 1 Gourd Per Plant?

Since I'll be growing LG's in 2010, I need to start learning how to grow these's things.
Well...Here's the question. I know there's been alot of LG growers who have grown more then 1 LG per plant and still end up with one over 110+ inches. Though if you leave 1 gourd per plant and trim off the others, will that 1 gourd grow much larger then if You've got multiple gourds?

Jordan,iv never seen proof the one will grow better by its self,iv tried it both ways and seen no diff.but i would not let it go more than two or three,but thats just me others may be diff. my biggest a 99in had two on the vine, WATER,WATER,WATER,FEED,FEED,FEED GOD BLESS, TREETOP

Three is about the max you want, but it does depend a bit on plant size. If you have a bigger plant, it will support more gourds

JA, long gourds don't adhere to the same playbook as pumpkins. Lots of water and DON'T over fertilize. I agree with John, 3-4 per plant depending on size.
