Today,I saw my first ones on the LGs but not on the cukes.maybe they need to be renamed-LOL.

Anyone else have them? It is a definite temperature related happening.

Alan, we have a bunch hanging out around our pumpkin patch. I'm in Bells Corners so maybe it's regional. What are you using to get rid of them? I was considering garlic powder around the plant to ward them off. I found one small patch of eggs that I crushed. I'm also considering adding nematodes around the plant to prevent any larvae damage. Let me know if you have any better ideas.

Frogman--I use Sevin and have for years. It is a "light" insecticide and I just use as little as possible. It doesn't take much to have them on their back with feet in the air. That is a truly beautiful sight-LOL.

I am in Richmond so we are just 16 km or so apart. Please phone me at 838-3650 if you are interested in trading patch visits.I think we should meet and trade notes.

Cheers--Al Eaton
