hey guys, just wondering if the polination time on my long gourd is the same time as my pumpkin ??? i am at 7 feet on my trellis and got 5 more to go before i get to top im starting to see flowers on the bottom half mostly males !!! can anyone tell me when they polinated last year , i know i have to do it at night, thanks pizzapete

Mine generally pollinate after the AG's. They get the majority of growth in the 3 weeks after pollination, so they can get started a lot later. When the really get going, they can put out a lot of growth in one night.

Pete, not sure if you're talking about pollination date or time of day....

My male flowers open in the evening, the females open in the morning...go figure. I have pollinated at all times of the day this year and most have taken a set.

I pollinated one late last year, July 26th and still grew a respectable gourd.
