I noticed on my long gourd last year that the flowers had a brown tint to them. I had a bit of the blight last season on my tomatoe plants so I was thinking that the blight got to the long gourd to as not much would set on the plant. This year they are looking a little brown too. At my home patch the LG is super aggressive but now I notice the flowers also have a brown tint. Does anyone have a theory. Thanks.

Heat? My flowers are turning brown about 12 hours after they open...

Just my opinion
If the flower is brown I think the pollen is spent.

I agree with Bob. With the 90 degree heat, the pollen in my male flowers will harden up and turn light brown in just a few hours.
