I was wondering ,what is the best way to get the seeds out from the gourds. Do you do anything special or just let them dry out over along period of time...need advice..thanks

I let my gourds sit for several weeks after harvest to hopefully get mature seeds (no idea if it is necessary).
The top half rarely has any seeds to harvest. I work from the bottom up and quit when the seeds run out. Be very careful, the shells get very hard and are difficult to cut. I use a boxcutter, some growers use saws, dremels or whatever.

Like Bob, I use a box cutter to score the LG in 1 foot increments and break them off. Then score the sides lengthwise 4x. Then I stand on the piece to break it apart, a few seeds might spurt out...LOL! Then it's a lot of digging thru the pulp to dislodge the seeds. Good luck and happy seed harvest! Duff
