Seeds look the same, but are ornamental gourds!!! Are seed starting methods the same? If so, links for starting will be appreciated!!! Have heard stories about clipping the ears, and filing?? Any details and specifics would be ... Kul, Beans!!! Peace, Wayne

For ornamental gourds I usually plant the seed directly in the garden and let them grow along the fence. Some grow up the trees. You can get by with direct seeding as they don't take nearly as long as AG's to mature.

Wayne I sanded the mickey mouse ears on,long gourd,giant pear and kettle gourd seeds this year.I was trying to get them to soak up moisture more efficiently.Its hard to tell if your sanding too deep cause there doesnt seem to be a gap between the seed shell and the embryo. I had good success with germination and if you do sand into the seed on that end its not a problem
