I have two long gourd plants that are maybe 7 inches apart?
One is much bigger and older than the other. Should I remove the smaller plant or just let it grow in case something happens to the other plant?
That is why I have kept it so far.

Depends on how big your trellis is. If's it's big enough to support two plants, I'd say let them both grow, increase your pollination odds....
