How do you guys get your long gourd to grow 7 and 8in in one day all I can get them to do is 5in a day is there something I'm doing wrong fertilizer soil?

I'd be real happy with 5 per day! I average about 3 but my gourds exhibit more growing days.

But my longest is only 89in from 2008 and I can't seem to grow any longer. Whats your longest?

My longest is 98" in two years of growing, ironically, the 98 was grown my first year. Might be more of a genetics issue than fertilizer, soil. I think 89" from the Deep South is pretty damn good.

pb they really vary from seed to seed on how long they grow. ive grown a few over 100 inches and have had other grow 60 to 80 inches on name seeds. try to get seeds from some of the longest grown this year.keep trying-eventually youll get a great plant and grow a monster
