I heard they have a tendancy to split or crack, but never imagined a 3ft long 1/4 inch wide crater!! This doesnt matter as far as qualification?

I only ever had one split and it was a big one after a hurricane dumped a pile of water. It wasn't disqualified because it didn't affect the overall length and the fruit was otherwise sound, no rotting, holes etc.

We had about 7/8 of an inch of rain the day before, but I have been keeping them quite wet. I also had taped it to a board in place, but it shouldnt have restricted it that much, It wasn't growing lenghwise. I was going to just let it sit there on vine to prolong health. Its in the shop and getting sprayed with oxidate daily now.
