The LG website,"longgourd-growers.com" is now under new management.Bob and Alice Attaway,GA-USA are passing the reins and full responsibility over to Sam Lovelace,NC-USA.
All info re LGs that you wish to have posted and meet the guidelines set for the site should now be emailed to "admin@longgourd-growers.com".
Both parties are long term LG growers and have a keen interest in recording and maintaining the LG database so valuable to growers.
More comments and info to follow shortly.

The LG website by the Attaway's is well thought out and useful to growers,wannabes and fans.The sorting feature is valuable to help choose seeds and improve the gene pool.
I believe this body of knowledge contains the ancestry of all the top LGs in the world.
The "121 Miller 13",#1 Iowa State Fair,was recently announced.Sorting the data bank by location suggests it is a new IA state record,growers there would know for sure.Also,odds are that when the 121 "parentage" becomes known,that it springs from known stock in the database.

Thanks for taking over Sam, and Thanks to Bob and Alice for all the hard work they put in to make this great site what it is today. It would be a shame to see it go the way of the AGGC!! It is a great resource for Long Gourd growers for sure, and Al has played a big part in making it a big success!! Good Luck Sam, and keep up the great work all!!

For those who may not know,the LG website-data bank does not represent any one organization.It is purely a grower's site that accepts the results from any and all competitions world wide that follow the very reasonable GPC rules.
At the same time a big part of the "parentages" of the top LGs each year comes from the GPC listing on bigpumpkins.com and we growers are very thankful for both of these well run organizations.
It is up to each grower to get their qualifing LGs listed,along with the "parentage",so that it doesn't have to be chased down afterwards.
