Glen my 121.25 martin is oozing amber stuff about two inches up from the tip.The end isn't turning funny or going to rot so It should be good.Red ooze? prob. same situation-just cant explain the reder color.

Best bet would be that the plant has gummy stem blight or at least the pathogen that causes it. It was most likely seed borne. Lagenaria gourds can get infected and still go on to do well. It doesn't look like it affects them much but it most likely holds them back a bit. Good chance the seeds contained are infected too. I had a couple over 100" that bled red whenever trimmed.
