I get the general idea of the trellis, lots of ways to make them. (Wood, steel, scaffolding, chainlink, lattice, etc etc. I would like to hear from people on whats worked well for them and things they would and have changed. I would like to do about 4 plants.
Thanks, Mike

Mine is wood 4x4x14 12 feet high with cross boards. the top is four feet wide, cattle fencing on top is 6 feet wide. I is basically a permanent structure. If I had to do it again I would design one the could easily be moved.

I keep making improvements each year. Because my patch can get flooded, I dug out drainage ditches to create raised beds. The gourds get planted on one side, while the other side is prepared for the next season. I bury lots of fish guts and heads and sheet compost the area. The frame is treated wood with a big hoop of cattle panels. The gourds can hang down into the big center ditch. This year I added 8' high X 4- wide wings on each side to get better air circulation. Long gourds are very susceptible to fungal diseases and good air flow helps.

I made mine from scaffolding. With woven wire up one side and fence panels on the top. Make sure you tie it down or the wind can blow it over.
