Everybody probably knows this but I thought I recalled a discussion in the pumpkin forum about whether day or night is the main period growth. Well, I set up a time lapse trail camera on an LG and nighttime growth was about double daytime growth. It was a fun experiment. That and 2 bucks will get you a small coffee.

Like most fruits and veggies major growth is at night. Leaves soak up sunshine and convert it to the fruit at night.

Agreed. I have measured them in the evening and the next morning they are longer.
