I am curious as to what others do when pruning their long gourd plants. How many secondaries do you allow to grow up the trellis?

I like to see a vast leaf structure on the vertical side of the trellis so I don't prune too much there. Once it is full I try to remove tertiary growth. On the horizontal plane I will prune later in the season after fruit has set. Remember, the secondary vines will produce your best gourds so be very careful if you remove any of those vines.
