Hi,
I'm going to try for a long gourd this year but I don't have a big garden so I have to choose.
Either one side of the garden with sunshine from early morning until about 2 pm. Or just the opposite: shade until about 2 pm but sun from then on until the evening.
If I have to choose about those two, I would go for the second possibility because it has the most "intense" hours of sun.
Or is there a reason I could better choose for the morning sun?
Thanks in advance for your reactions!!

Morning sun might dry off the dew faster and help with fungal disease problems. The brown rust-like fungus is the biggest problem for long gourds. In my garden, I don't get early or late sun, just sun from mid morning to later in the afternoon.

Ok Iowegian, thanks for your input, will take this in consideration...on the other hand: still looking for some seeds with a good pedigree...
