My friends tomatoes are getting black spots on the leaves. It turns the leaves yellow & the plant looks like it's burning from the bottom up. I think it's slowly killing the plant. Any ideas what could be causing it? What is the cure? Any help would be appreciated. Sorry, but I can't send a picture either. Thanks in advance.

I had trouble with my tomatoes last year. I picked them...some ripe some green before frost hit and within days most of them had brown spots here and there on them. Sometimes half a tomato would be brown. What the heck was that do you suppose? Nothing in the disease site looks anything like it. My neighbours did the same thing. Another friend a few miles away had hers turn ripe a couple of weeks before mine and they were all fine.

Thanks for the replies. Is there a page that tells what to do about it or another site that tells how control or stop this problem? The site you sent me to only shows pictures. I think it might be black spot disease or something like that on my friend's tomatoes. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
