John Lyons has won the Online Tomato Contest. He grew a 5 pound 2.75 ounce tomato. It came from Big Zac with seed from Totally Tomatoes. It was 24.5 inches in circumference. It was weighed on September 11 on a certified scale at the Grafton Co-Op in Grafton, Ontario with several witnesses. The scale was certified. This was one big tomato and much bigger than anyone else in the contest grew this year. Congratulations to John Lyons. Turns out, it was not even close but there is always next year.

We moved just as the tomatoes were coming on real good and had to pull out of the contest. But, we'll be back in Ohio next year. So, I'll have to try again. :)

Congrats to John Lyons. We seen this tomato on the GVGO patch tour this year. What a monster tomato. Way to go John.
