I start my Eating tomatoes around the first week of April. Competition tomatoes can be started anytime now, but the Almanac warns against starting seeds over the next two days: Feb. 27-28 Seeds planted now will grow poorly and yield little. I have cuttings off of my last years tomatoes that I've been growing all winter. :) How's that plant doing Brooks??

I started my giant tomatoes mid March last year. Best ones were ready few weeks before our weighoff which was 21st of September. Very diffucult to get them ripe for certain date. But I think also elsewhere than in weighoff weighed tomatoes can be officially weighed too.
