Is there a way to get a rough weight Est on a tomato by a measurement?,, I dont have a small scale (yet) and was wondering about this.
Also, on another rough estimate, how many days will a giant tomatoes usually grow from pollination to end of growth cycle?

Did you ever pick up Marv's book Brooks? There is a chart in there. I'll get my copy out in the morning & e-mail it to you.

Brooks,
They grow for about 70 days after pollination. Be careful with the estimation chart. If you have an odd shaped tomato that kinda wraps around it will predict light. Because it’s not dense all the way through. It happened with my odd fruit last year. Should have been about 5.5 pounds but was just a tad under 5 pounds.

You have a big one going?

I forgot Brooks, sorry. This is from Marv's book & is based on circumference. 18" = 2 lbs. 19" = 2 1/2 lbs & for each inch gained in circumference go up a half pound. It was right on mine last season with a + or - of a half pound.

I was given the seed from a friend Tomatoaddict. She received the seed from friends in France where it is a huge hit. It's an heirloom variety. I grew the seed last year and had 22 fruit on one plant at the same time which all weighed over 1.5 pounds, with no special attention. Search BelMonte on my site and there should be pics of that plant.
