I was wondering what has really worked for you when transplanting your tomato in the final spot? I live in the UK and cant get alot of the products that you guys may put in!
I heard mycorrhizal fungi can make a whole load of difference, maybe some organic fertilizer or epsom salts?
Looking forward to hearing any replies ^_^

I've got limited space so I cant make a compost pile. But I added ALOT of compost in the tiny patch I have. The composition is probably 60/40 compost to soil. Can you have too much compost?

The tomato plant??? Seriously, yer soil should have been tested, and ammended to get the soil as balanced as possible, b/4 transplant time...other than a lil mycho, some of which should have been in yer sprouting mix, the two things to put into the planting hole, are the plant and some water!!! Sorry, if that sounds harsh, but I have skrewed myself two times, to many...by trying to over add to "the planting HOLE" I truly believe that the whole growing area should be the same quality!!! Only done, by soil test, and proper ammendments!! Hope this helps!! Peace, Wayne

same patch as the pumpkins. in the fall i add tons of shredded leaves after tilling and deep spading and then plant a cover crop. in the spring i deepspade and till in 4" of compost across the patch along with corn meal, kelp meal, k-mag, calcite calcium, lots of gypsum, "charcoal green biochar plus" from by activatedcharcoal.com, and zeopro which is zeolite coated in a slow release fertilizer made of calcium hydroxy apatite. then 3 weeks before planting aerify plus in a liberal quantity. one full hose end sprayer bottle per 700 sq ft. aerify plus is a soil activator and looser with kelp, humic and molasses combined in a liquid easy to apply hose end bottle.

the only thing with that alpaca poo is it is pretty low in nitrogen so you need to ass some.
