Season is over for me and I'm pretty happy with the results of my first year seriously trying. I set a lofty goal for myself of 4 #'s, never expecting to get even close, and almost did!

Serious rookie mistake by me. A late rain storm caught me unprepared at a weigh-off, so the plants did not get covered. The rain only split one, but it was my best at 3.92 lbs...DOH!

Thank you to all that helped me with advice and seeds! There is no way I could not have even come close to 4 lbs with out the generous advice and help of the great people here on BP.com

My results;

3.92 UOW 5.58 Timm x self
3.33 5.58 Timm x self (different plant)
2.92 3.9 Catapano x self

Let me know where and when to send seeds!

On another note...I had an incredible megabloom on the 7.18 Harp, like a 5 or 6 fused blossom. It was amazing to see! I bagged it and tried to pollinate it. It acted like it didn't take, just sitting there. I left it alone, and almost 2 months later now it is growing. Anyone ever experience this?

I have a plant that has two large megablooms displaying similiar characteristics Thad. When I first noticed them (late August), I thought for sure that I would have a large tomatoe by the end of this month but both are growing painfully slow. Hey, there's always November ;}

I put in 7 of the 7.18 and most had megas but couldn't get any of them to take. Late in the season now they are growing a bunch of 2 to 2.5 lbers.

Congrats Thad on great 1st season. Also to Larry for his 2 - 4#+ tomatoes. I'm sure both of you be growing 5#+ tomatoes in no time.

Our only megabloom on the 1st bunch of flowers showed up @ the 1st week in Aug. It was very long, with 6 or more flowers fused together. We weren't sure if it would take, but after a week or so, we started to see the mater peaking out. It was amazing to watch it grow. Maybe we'll grow 2 plants next year. Another 5.0 Timms & one of ours.

Hopefully there will be lots of seeds to donate to the GVGO membership packs & to give out to anyone here that would want to plant one or two. Although we didn't post on this board this season, we followed it closely & learned much. Thanks for your postings, they answered all of our questions. Congrats to all.
