If you are not spraying your tomato plants with antifungal agents you are behind schedule. There is no treatment for diseases as Late Blight, only prevention. Start your antifungal regimen now. I started off with Daconil and later will use Mancozeb and Immunox. Do not get wiped out by fungal diseases this year. Watch, for sure, someone will. Don't be the one. Marv

The first seed is no doubt a Big Zac offspring that someone has now lost the family line on. This will happen a lot I am afraid because the BZ seeds are not being named well enough to tell where they came from. As for the second question, could it be Iceman?? LOL. Marv

i havent sprayed yet ,seen a couple brown leaves but no blight will daconali affect my megablossoms ??? i dont want to spray till they set then im gonna pour it on lol thanks pizza

I think there must be different areas of North America that are more prone to fungal disease like blight than others. Last year I didn't apply any anti-fungals and no issues at all. This year I am only going with 30% skim milk on everything every two weeks or so. We'll see in October if that was enough.

Andy: The milk works by changing the pH on the leaves to something a bit more alkaline and this helps to prevent fungus. In PA and Ohio late blight is fairly common and once you see it on your plants it is too late to do anything. Season over. We have had it in our area the last 2 years. The spores travel great distances in the atmosphere and then come down onto your plants with the rain. Marv
