Subject: Does peduncle size matter?

What do you think? Last year i had lots of megablooms that had mediocre peduncles, they produced 1-2 # maters. this year my first megabloom that set has a peduncle to rival any I have ever seen. do you think it will have any bearing on fruit size?

couldn't really tell it was a big jumbled mess. might have been 3-4. Here is a pic of the mater growing on it.

Looks like at least three and maybe four fused into one. If you take good care of it and it continues to grow, who knows. It could get very big. M
