Thank you very much Scott. I ended the year with a 3.09 from a 3.51 Jacobus but the seed had a lot more potential. I learned a lot however and hopefully Ill be able to do the 4.46 Marley justice. I won the contest at work by .014 lbs.

your both welcome, congrats finch on you work contest, you must get a ribbon for that win!!! pizza the 7.33 hunt plant is still popping out maters! so far off this one plant are the 4.46 ,3.96,3.93,2.31,1.67, and i have one at about 21" still growing! what a plant, i think i should have pruned it! pizza, the seed count was realy good on the 4.46. do you think i should offer the clubs some seeds for the winter auctions? not sure if they would want them but i have plenty... scott

The Delicious is an heirloom and so all of the seeds from every tomato coming off the plant should be the same as the seeds in the original tomato grown by the Hunts. By all means offer the seeds to anyone who wants to go for a big one. Had you pruned the blossoms off your plant to reduce the number of tomatoes on the plant there is no telling what you might have gotten. Marv
