I grew Sicilian Saucer for the first time in 2011. My largest was 0.826 lbs. I had 116 varieties produce larger fruits.

However, I would not pass judgment on a variety based upon one person's experience with one plant in one year in one location with seeds from a single source. Especially since I didn't do any pruning or other techniques to produce a giant tomato.

My seed source was very reliable (Heritage Harvest), where they stated, "A beautiful Sicilian heirloom with huge ribbed beefsteak type fruit that average 2lbs but can grow much larger". I'm not ready to deny that as a possibility and will definitely try it again.

The fruits tasted very good and the plant was healthy, quite productive, but a little on the late side (92 days) to produce.
