I have never grown a giant tomato, pumpkins I have and to much water and they can blow, explode. Does that happen with Tomato's?

YES you can have a tomato do a catastrophic kaboom.

Some varieties will crack (catface) and stuff like that... but. Once you detect ANY color in the fruit (it stops growing and starts ripening) a good rainstorm or an overzealous watering can cause it to go.

if i can get away with nice temps i water every 2-3 days ,but if its hot i give mine a drink early morning ,i also check for cracking alot when its hot!!! pizza
