There are several different mycorrhizae products out there including some that are in various potting soil mixtures. Which one do you use on tomatoes and is it the same one you use on pumpkins if you are growing them?

I use the same on all my starts, and in the planting holes... I have been using the RTI product from Extreme Pumpkin Store... and going to try the Great White this year to see if there is a difference.
Tomatoes seem to like it just as much as pumpkins.
Tom has something else called Extreme Blend, it really gives tomatoes a kickstart. At 4 leaves start using half strength once a week for 2-3 times then use full strength once a week (as recommended mixed strength).

There was a post about it being on eBay, $34.95 for 4 oz, and you mix it and apply it liquid. Not too bad considering how much it's supposed to treat/cover. Just eat macNcheese dinners out of a box for a week... you can afford it!

Looks like it is. The GWG have Great White as a sponsor, grow a 300# with their product and there is a prize up for doing it.

Pete a 4.oz Jar would last you 2 years or more you dont need much,a small amount makes a huge difference.Ive researched this,Great White is one of the better ones out there. It gets down to how many types & how much is in it.You can buy Plant success water soluble or granular for about 18.99 a can.Thats what I used last year. The Great White is better I will be using that this year.Clean out your basement & garage take that stuff you will never use to a consignment store. The money can be used for gardening supplies. The wifes happy you got rid of all the crap, and your spending found money. Its a win win, then hopefully its a win win again in October.lol

Handy, have you used the great white before? 35$ for 4 oz seems pretty pricey when RTI sells it's granular for about 6-7$ a lb and it's been used on a number of WRs, & by most top growers. Has anyone used great white with great results? Not trying to attack great white, just looking for some answers as there are plenty of myco companies out there now and they all seem to claim to be the best. RTI has a track record that is hard to ignore, IMHO.

AustonRivers, you are excactly right. Many are riding the Mycho wave.... Neil has shown his numbers and testing to us, and continues to improve his products as well as the latest technologies continue to improve. If you have questions, contact them. Same with all the others...I'm not saying we only have one, but I'll put my money in RTI who showed us his dedication and research energies in Vegas. Seeing all those critters under that microscope was phenomenal, we actually saw Nematodes, one even was hatching before our eyes....
Ill will be growing MelonZ with RTI products this year...as I am pumped to let it grow BIGGER>>>... with the Team Xtreme

Great White has put up 2 grand for a 300lb melon,How much has RTI put up? Just sayin,I have to go with the money,Money talks!I'm not going to argue which ones better.RTI has a huge advantage on how many people have used it.Great White hasn't had much field time with Kins & Melons.Lets see what results we get this year.I will be using Great White on all my stuff.Kins, Melons, Maters. If you dont buy the Great White you dont win the 2 grand, but you still will win GWG prize money.Good Luck to all in 2012!
