This has been said before but nothing seems to be changing. The names of the tomato seeds used are mostly the names of the growers and there is no way to tell what the seed actually was. What is the true variety of these seeds? Whether it is Delicious or Big Zac or whatever needs to be posted. If not, we will in the future have no idea where the seeds we are growing came from. It may already be too late.

I agree Marv. I have named my publicized heavyweights according to what you have suggested.
What we need is an officiating board that will create and enforce lineage rules in order to correctly trace giant tomatoes and their lines back to the beginning.
My personal best as an example of naming is
4.48 LB Diehl/Big Zac-2013

well all i know is ,my biggest tomatoe came off the mega marv 4.52 ,, so i,ll stick with his seeds ,,and i loved the plants,healty as crap,,thank Marv for your seeds ,, looking forward to growing them again next year Rob
