I will be growing giant tomatoes this year. I am just curious as to what kind of weather they like. I know that the average beefsteak likes high temperatures, but I wasn't sure if there would be variation in big zacs. Where I will be planting them, in the summer, the temperature normally does not exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and the lows at night don't go much below 60. I will also be growing them in a second location where the temperatures are normally in the nineties, and sometimes exceed 100. Thanks.

Is it windy there?... Do you use wind blocks?... I was thinking about blocking the wind next year.... Cheaper than a greenhouse...

i made my greenhouse out of 3/4"electrical conduit.you can get a ten foot stick of it for under 2 bucks at a big box store.the plastic was 100 bucks for mine.so not real bad.

It's windy, but there are alot of tree's on the perimeter that block the wind very well.
