Lots of big tomatoes were grown from the 5.416 Harp but that tomato was never entered into any weighoff. Does anyone know the parentage of the 5.416 Harp? Is it in the Big Zac line? Thanks for the help. We are trying to do some of the bigger tomatoes from 2015 weigh-offs.

And so the 5.41 Harp comes from the Big Zac line. Great. There were quite a few big tomatoes grown from the seed from 5.41 Harp. 5 tomatoes over 5 pounds weighed last year.

Porkchop, you weighed a 5.55 pounder last year that came from a 5.75 pounder grown by you earlier. I cannot find any history on the 5.75. What variety was it?

5.75 porkchop is the variety 'Domingo'. It was grown from the 4.55 Wahl 2012 (2.48 Lovelace 2011)

Lots of blank spaces getting filled in. Thanks to all. Porkchop is one of the few growing Domingo. Maybe more should give it a shot.
The parent of the 6.15 Ansems grown in 2015 came from a 4.79 Martin entered in 2011 and that tomato came from "menting." Does anyone know the parentage of 4.79 Martin 2011?

Here are a few more that need better documentation. 5.77 Barlow 2015 which was grown from a 4.24 Gantner 2013
5.75 Domke 2015 grown from a 4.88 Domke
Interestingly, about 95% of the seeds that Dale T. and I have looked into have ended up coming ultimately from Big Zac. The rest have been Delicious or Domingo.

Hey Marv,
Just spoke with Caton yesterday and asked him about his 4.88. It was from a pack of Big Zac seeds that came from Totally Tomatoes.

Are you saying 4.88 Zmarzly 2015 or 4.88 Domke listed above which I would assume. Thanks either way. I would guess you are referring to 4.88 Domke. Marv

Thank you Jerry. The 7.45 Martin was in the Big Zac line.So far we have been able to identify 26 of the top 30 tomatoes weighed by the GPC in 2015. Interestingly, only 3 of them were not Big Zac line. The others were Delicious, Domingo and Zaczilla. And now, moving on: 5.77 Barlow 2015 which came from 4.24 Gantner 2013, parents of Gantner?
and
5.48 Menting 2015 which came from an unregistered 5.63 Martin. All help appreciated. Marv

Marv,
The Martin 5.63 grew Margaret's 7.45 in 2014. Here is the line according to her post from 2014. 7.45 Martin (5.63 Martin X open)(4.79 Martin x open)(2.2 Menting x open)(7.18 Harp x open)(5.58 Timm)(3.9 Catapano)(4.59 Lyons)(Big Zac F1 Commercial)

Thank you for the info on the 5.48 Menting, the record keeping was above and beyond. Very few tomatoes have such a long documentation, very few. As it turns out the tomato was another out of Big Zac. By the time a hybrid is grown out to F5 it is fairly stable and many of the BZ offspring are now out to F12 and as we continue to select our seeds from the biggest tomatoes we may all end up with the same seed genetically.
Any info on the 5.77 Barlow 2015?

Maybe crossing a big Domingo with a big BZ would mix things up a bit. :)

Any info on the 5.77 Barlow 2015? So far this has been going quite well. I hope to be able to list most of the big tomatoes grown last year. And then next year we will try to get varieties from all tomatoes entered. You guys are really being helpful toward getting this done. Dale and I thank you again. Marv

True that the 5.77 was grown from the 4.24 but what I want is the parents of the 4.24 Gantner 2013.
