I'm a bit naive as to how you tomato growers process your seeds, so maybe you already do this. I ran into a Facebook post by Growing Them Big in New Zealand With Grace with the following video attached.

I am using the TSP (trisodium phosphate) method. Much quicker and easier.

Oxyclean like Pizza said. It dissolves the gel covering around the seed. Of course the seeds are really clean after. Everything germinated.

Oxyclean works really really well.

Do you dilute the Oxyclean spray? I usually just wash mine, drain in a fine mesh strainer and dry on wax paper. Your method sounds pretty good and I would like to try it.

Use the Oxyclean powder, 1 TBLS for about 1-2 cups of water. Stir it in and let it sit for an hour. Rinse well through a sieve and put the seeds to dry on a paper towel.

Oxyclean method, do you sorta squeeze the seeds out of the tomato first, then mix w/ Oxy solution? Peace, Wayne

I mix the Oxyclean and water into a bowl. Then cut the tomato in quarters, then with a teaspoon scoop the globs of seeds out into a bowl and mix around.

Are they supposed to float?
That means they are viable right?

I cleaned my seeds with the oxy clean like you all suggested.
All the seeds sank to the bottom.
Didn't get many out of the tomato.
Will post pics in diary soon.
