Have you contacted your GPC rep yet....you know you are suppose to give them 30 days notice for potential world record and especially for the first 10 pounder. I still think that is an excessive time frame. Means you have to decide you have world caliber fruit at two weeks DAP.

Iceman said that he wonted a lot of notice time so that he or proper representation can be made for the 10 pound chalange.it is in the 10 pound chalange post from last fall.

i sent an email to Iceman. I am hoping he will give an update on what the GPC requires. I thought it was 30 days for both world record and 10 pound..but I could be wrong. I have a plant at day 10...has a chance...very small chance but way too early for me to call it. When you are talking about a 45 DAP fruit growth..trying to call it at day 15 is really hard.

Chris it is Doing about 1" every 2-3 days now. Not expecting any records but i would like to get 7 lbs. Its at about 5.5 lbs going by chart right Now.

So if you have a contender, just let your GPC rep know as soon as you have a contender, or email me and I will get it to the powers in charge. 10 pounds would be a friggen awesome achievement so the more we know the better it is for the grower too.

thanks eddy for your response...i think that most of us wouldn't really think they have a contender until the tomato hits mid twenties and is still making good daily gains. Keep that tomato green wixom...in two weeks you might really be at 32 inches.
